Johanson Transportation Service and its affiliates and subsidiaries and each of their directors, officers, employees, and authorized representative (collectively, "Johanson Transportation Service") respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal information we gather, how that data is used, how the data is protected, how it is shared, and the choices you can make about our use of the information. We also explain how to contact us about our privacy practices.
Consent
This policy governs our data protection practices when we collect your personal information through our Web site. By using any Johanson Transportation Service Web site on which this policy is posted, you accept the practices described in this policy and you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information submitted to us through this Web site as described in this policy. If you do not agree to be bound by this policy, you may not access or use our Web site.
What data is collected and how is data collected?
Johanson Transportation Service collects information about you from various sources; including information (i) you provide us directly, (ii) obtained from your use of our services, or (iii) that is collected in accordance with applicable law. For example, we may have a direct relationship with you, and you may choose to provide personal information to us in connection with that relationship. You may submit information to us in connection with a quote request. We also may obtain information about you from companies that use our products or services, publicly available information systems, consumer reporting agencies, and commercial information services.
When you register for a new account, we use your name, company name, address, preferred time zone, country of origin, telephone, email, carrier MC number, username, and password to set up a new Arriviture® account. We will collect information in our database for any data you enter on our Web site, including available trucks, driver tracing information, and order numbers.
We also collect certain information by automated means. For example, we collect information that is sent to us automatically by your Web browser when you visit our Web site. This information typically includes your IP address, the identity of your Internet service provider, the name and version of your operating system, the name and version of your browser, the date and time of your visit, and the pages you visit. We also use "cookies" and other Web technologies to collect information and support certain features of our Web site. For example, we may use these technologies to collect information about the ways visitors use this Site—which pages they visit, which links they use, and how long they stay on each page. The information we collect from your Web browser and from cookies and other Web technologies does not identify you personally but in some cases we may link it to personally identifiable information.
How do we use the data we collect?
Most of the information we gather for new customers and carriers is filled out offline, through other channels. When you register on the Arriviture® Web site, an account is created for you. The information goes directly into a security database used to allow you access to the Web site. Once you have access to Arriviture®, you may give us additional information to assist in processing orders and doing business with you effectively. All information is contained within this database and is not shared with any other Johanson Transportation Service databases, or any third-party databases. The quote requests are not stored in the security database long term. The information is collected temporarily, a report is created and emailed to sales, and the quote data is then deleted from the database. A member of the sales team may use the collected Quote Request data, manually entering the information into our Customer Relationship Management database for follow up.
The data may also be used for the following:
- To contact you via email, phone, or mail with information and notices related to your use of our products and services, including our Web site;
- Carriers can see the order information so they can enter tracing information related to it;
- To improve the content, functionality and usability of the Web site;
- To evaluate your interest in employment and contact you regarding possible employment with us;
- To enforce our Web site’s terms of use;
- To promote compliance with applicable legal requirements, industry standards, and corporate policies;
- To promote security; to protect against and prevent fraud, claims and other liabilities; and to manage corporate risk exposure;
- To use for any other purpose about which we provide notice at the time of collection.

Any connection between users and our website is SSL encrypted, so no one can view your password or any of the data you provide. We also have a number of measures in place to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to our Web site and security database.
